Rules and Regulations for Admission

Admission to Birendra Deepak Mahavidyalaya is carried out in a fair and transparent manner in accordance with the rules, regulations, eligibility criteria, and guidelines prescribed by the concerned University, Government of Chhattisgarh, and other competent authorities from time to time.

  1. Eligibility for AdmissionCandidates must fulfill the minimum educational qualification and eligibility criteria prescribed for the course in which admission is sought. Admission will be granted only after verification of the required academic qualifications and supporting documents.
  2. Submission of Application FormCandidates must submit the admission application form within the prescribed date. All information provided in the application form must be accurate, complete, and supported by valid documents.
  3. Verification of DocumentsAdmission will remain provisional until all original documents and certificates are verified by the college. Candidates must produce original documents whenever requested by the Admission Committee.
  4. Required DocumentsStudents may be required to submit documents such as:Recent passport-size photographsClass 10th mark sheet and certificateClass 12th mark sheet and certificateGraduation mark sheets, wherever applicableTransfer Certificate (TC)Migration Certificate, wherever applicableCharacter CertificateCaste Certificate, if applicableDomicile/Residence Certificate, if applicableIncome Certificate, wherever requiredAadhaar Card or other valid identity proofGap Certificate/Affidavit, if applicableAny other document prescribed by the University, Government, or College
  5. Reservation PolicyReservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD and other eligible categories shall be applicable according to the prevailing rules and policies of the Government of Chhattisgarh and competent authorities.
  6. Merit and SelectionAdmission may be based on merit, entrance examination, counselling, or any other selection process prescribed by the University, State Government, or regulatory authority for the respective programme.
  7. Payment of FeesSelected candidates must deposit the prescribed admission and course fees within the stipulated period. Failure to deposit the required fees within the specified time may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
  8. Provisional AdmissionAdmission granted before final verification of certificates, examination results, eligibility, or University approval shall be considered provisional. The college reserves the right to cancel such admission if the candidate is subsequently found ineligible.
  9. Incorrect or False InformationIf any information, certificate, mark sheet, caste certificate, or other document submitted by a candidate is found to be false, forged, misleading, or incorrect, the admission may be cancelled immediately. Appropriate action may also be taken as per applicable rules.
  10. Attendance RequirementEvery admitted student must maintain the minimum attendance prescribed by the University and College. Students failing to meet the required attendance may not be permitted to appear in the University examination.
  11. Discipline and ConductStudents must maintain discipline and follow the academic and administrative rules of the College. Misconduct, indiscipline, violence, damage to college property, or behaviour that disturbs the academic environment may result in disciplinary action.
  12. Anti-Ragging RegulationRagging in any form is strictly prohibited within the college campus and in all college-related activities. Any student found involved in ragging shall be subject to disciplinary and legal action as per applicable anti-ragging regulations.
  13. Identity CardEvery student must carry the College Identity Card while on the campus and produce it whenever requested by authorized college personnel.
  14. Change of Course or SubjectChange of course, subject, or combination after admission shall be permitted only when allowed under University/College rules and subject to seat availability and approval of the competent authority.
  15. Cancellation of AdmissionA student wishing to cancel admission must submit a written application to the College. Refund of fees, if applicable, shall be governed by the prevailing University, Government, UGC, and College regulations.
  16. University Registration and ExaminationStudents are responsible for completing University enrolment, registration, examination forms, and other academic formalities within the prescribed deadlines. Students must provide correct details and required documents for such processes.
  17. Scholarship and Financial AssistanceEligible students may apply for scholarships and other financial assistance schemes according to Government rules. Submission of scholarship applications and supporting documents within the stipulated period shall be the responsibility of the student.
  18. Compliance with College RulesAll students admitted to the College shall abide by the rules concerning academics, examinations, library use, laboratories, campus discipline, attendance, anti-ragging measures, grievance redressal, and other institutional policies.
  19. Right of the CollegeThe College reserves the right to amend, modify, or update the admission rules whenever required in accordance with directions issued by the University, Government, UGC, NCTE, or other competent authorities.
  20. Final AuthorityIn matters related to admission, eligibility, document verification, discipline, and interpretation of rules, the decision of the Principal/Admission Committee and the competent University or Government authority shall be considered final, subject to applicable laws and regulations.

Admission to all programmes, including B.Ed., PGDCA, B.A. (NEP), and B.Sc. (NEP), is subject to the eligibility requirements, seat availability, reservation policy, counselling procedure, and other regulations prescribed by the concerned University, Government of Chhattisgarh, and relevant regulatory authorities. Candidates are advised to carefully verify the latest admission notification before applying.
